Enterprise coworking and managed offices are often grouped together as “flexible workspace” — but they are fundamentally different products serving different needs.
Coworking is a shared infrastructure model. Your team works alongside other companies in a shared environment. You benefit from community, amenities, and lower per-seat costs — but you share the floor, the meeting rooms, and the internet with other tenants.
A managed office is a private, dedicated space operated by a specialist provider. You have your own floor or suite, custom branding, dedicated IT infrastructure, and the operational feel of a traditional office — with none of the ownership burden.
When Coworking Works
Coworking is well-suited for: teams of 1-20 people, project-based or short-term India presence, teams that benefit from the energy and community of a shared environment, and companies that do not handle sensitive data requiring network separation.
For a sales team, a startup scouting India, or a regional hub with fewer than 15 people, coworking delivers excellent value per rupee.
When a Managed Office Is the Right Call
Managed offices are the right choice when: your team is 20+ people and growing, you need dedicated IT infrastructure and VLAN separation for data security, you want your own branded environment, or your work involves confidential client data or regulated information.
GCCs, in particular, almost always need managed offices rather than coworking. The data security, branding, and operational independence requirements of a large enterprise simply cannot be met in a shared coworking environment.
